Go to the big park in the afternoon. Afternoon is the best, because most people go to work, school, etc. So you can practice daliy, instead of spending too much money at golf club.
What you have to do?
-Aim at the tree.
-Near to the tree as possible as you can.

I'm thinking about this myself but I'm wanting to do something bit more extravigant I guess. I would like to build a "lean to" type cover, put a mat down with a net out front to catch the balls. Have it big enough to give that "driving range" feel for a small table and chair next to the driving mat. Then do like other here mention, chip out into the yard with the sand wedge. I'm still working on the lean-to dimensions to build.

You could get the Rope-it Backyard Driving Range. it's a golf ball attached to a bungee rope. It's only 20 bucks and it actually works very well. i bought one and i like it. It's probably one of the better ways practice in your backyard. and again its cheap
