What Is It Like To Play Golf For The First Time – Is It Easy?

If you suddenly find out that you have been invited to go and play golf and you have actually never been to a golf club before then it might make you nervous at first. You will have to make sure that you are wearing the right clothes when you arrive and of course you will need to make sure that you have all the right equipment for playing your first round of golf.

Firstly you must decide on what are you going to wear for golf…

Although this might sound like a bit of a strange question at first, what you wear is important! You will be surprized if you think you can get away with wearin to wear your tennis shoes and maybe your favorite tank top on the golf course. This just isn’t the case.

Many of the first time players I see don’t even realize there are important rules and regulations for those playing the game of golf and it can be different fo some courses. Because golf is a game doesn’t mean that it is one that is not regarded as a classy game and so it is for for those with patience and a strong confidence in their own abilities. So before you ask you will need to wear at least a nice collared shirt (that is a pullover shirt with a collar!) which can have long or short sleeves to your preference.

Don’t forget that you should also wear some type of shorts or pants that are semi-casual – not too casual and not too formal. What this actually really means to you is that you are not allowed to just wear cut off shorts and you absoutely must not wear any shorts that are dirty or have any holes in them.

In general you will find that many people who golf wear shorts or pants that are casual but business-like in style. Get some dockers or dress type pants and you will be good with the type of pants you should be wearing on the golf course.

Also if you are going to be wearing a hat becasue fo the sun then make sure that the hat is not offensive in any way with bold text or with any swear words showing on it – just be sensible here!. Every golf coruse or country club is always designed to be respectful to all others who play ther whether men or women, and you will be be surprised that there are large numbers of both high school and college aged individuals that will be out there on the greens as well as just you!

We are not saying here that some persons are not admitted on to the golf course, but it has happened in the past. We just want to make you totally aware of what other club members and golf players on the course are going to expect of you and anyone else who goes to play golf onto their course. You need to wear the right stuff!

Will you need money to play golf do you think? For sure, if you are heading out on to the golf course to play this great game for the first time then you will need to take some money with you to the golf club. You will also need to make sure you don’t forget to take your golf some golf balls and a golf cart for pulling along your golf clubs behind you and don’t forget the right type of golfing shoes.

If you don’t have them already then all of these golfing things can be rented from almost all of the golf courses you might visit and therfore if you don’t already have them then will need to pay money to rent them.

In addition if you are heading off to play at a golf course for a few holes or a whole round of golf then you will need to pay a fee for all the holes you are going to be playing on that visit to the golf course. You can easily rent a golf cart on most golf courses these days and this too is obviosuly going to require some form of payment from you. If you are intending playing in teams of two or four people then the costs will be divided and therfore are going to be reduced for you somewhat.

And of course if you drink or have a meal at the golf course club house then this too will also cost you money. Alternatively you could take a few bottles of water with you so that you don’t have to make any more additional purchases. To be honest playing golf is not always really as expensive as this may sound to you. It will depend on how well prepared you are before you arrive at the golf course and then how many holes you are going to be prepared to play at the time of your visit.

Who said golf was cheap – and sometimes it is the 19th hole that is the most expensive – but who really cares!?!
